Ashley enjoys creating art especially with oil and chalk pastels. She also likes making jewelry by enameling. Ashley shares that she has used art to help her through difficult times: "I use art when I'm mad about my diabetes. It helps me cope. . . I [also like to] create art when I am sad because it brings out my happiness."
It is important to Ashley to achieve her goals when it comes to her art. She is also proud to be overcoming her illness. She says, "I want people to know [that] I feel anybody can become an artist- you can be sick or not, you just have to believe."
