Yong Lin likes to create art whenever she has the time and energy to and she likes giving her artwork as gifts. She usually creates art when she is happy and her favorite materials are markers and colored pencils. She also loves to knit and crochet.
Yong Lin is proud to be in the 6th grade. She loves her summers in sleep-away camp, especially when it is time for swimming. When asked to describe a typical day in her life, she wrote "I wake up, eat breakfast, go to school, go home, shower, dinner, and sleep."
Yong Lin has many different sides to her. She shares, "I am usually nice even though I can be mean when I want to. When others praise me about my work, I thank them but inside I feel that other works are better than mine. Other times, I might feel the opposite. When I think about this, I am like a metalloid. I can act like a metal (one way) or a non-metal (another way)."
