Tamara shares that creating art is a vital part of her life. "I paint a few times a week. I doodle constantly; art is ever-going for me. My painting style is very scenic, really natural, and nature based. I love to use greens, blues, earth tones, oranges, and so forth. Art is extremely meditating and soothing to me. Whenever I may feel stressed or uneasy I begin to create and it brings me back to a calm and relaxed state (happy). I try to create works of art at various states, but at times my themes can reflect how I am feeling."
An average day for Tamara begins when she goes to work at the computer lab. Afterwards she volunteers at a non-profit organization called Adaptive Design Association. Tamara spends time with friends and family and then starts a new day.
Tamara reflects on her life so far, "I have experienced many things in my life, like being in NY Foundling, being in foster care, being reunited with my biological family, graduating from college, and being accepted to NYU's art therapy program. I think that the most important thing that I would like for others to know about me is that I am extremely sincere and giving. I don't allow negativity to hinder where I am destined to go."
