Donovan loves to draw and likes to use all types of art supplies. He says, "I can draw for hours and I love to build things as well, even with Legos...I do art sometimes at night before I go to bed. It relaxes me. I also do art just when I feel like it."
Some of the important things that have happened in Donovan's life so far are his brother, AJ, being born, moving back to South Jersey, going to camp, and being with his friends.
Donovan wants people to know that he is a very strong little boy with a very big heart and that he loves his family and loves to eat. Donovan says, "Even thought I had an accident, I am still me- the one who always wants to make you smile and laugh. I am a determined boy and I will overcome all the obstacles that are thrown my way. One of the biggest obstacles that I have already overcome was recovering from my accident."
An average day for Donovan starts at 5:50am when he wakes up and gets ready for therapy. He is picked up at 6:45am and travels an hour and a half to go to all of his therapies and school. He then gets picked up at 3:00pm to travel another hour and a half back home and is tired by then. Donovan's mom usually has dinner ready and he gets to go into the pool. He takes a shower, eats dinner and watches TV. He finally goes to bed to then start it all over again the next day. On Fridays, Donovan goes to camp and has a lot of fun being with his friends. And on the weekends he can finally relax and just hang out with his family.
