Rowan created "Color of Life" when she was 10 years old and it was exhibited in ArtWorks' Express Yourself-NJ 2006 show.
"Color of Life is a picture that I loved to color because it let me show emotions as having leukemia. There are colors of sadness, when under chemo and missing school. There are colors of happiness seeing my friends and family visiting me, my mom making fried chicken and French fries, and being home. There are colors of calm, which at times I just wanted to be hugged or to be by myself and wonder why me?"
"I think every color we see means a lot to me. We should see life as beautiful as every color represents."
